The Dencun upgrade’s activation on Sepolia represents one of the final two steps in the process of launching the update on the Ethereum mainnet. The upgrade aims to resolve these problems and make Ethereum more cost-effective by introducing proto-danksharding, a data storage mechanism called “blobs” to optimize performance.
