Foxconn Remains Confident in Year-End Sales Outlook
Taiwan’s Foxconn Sticks to Strong Sales Forecast
Taiwan’s Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics maker and a major supplier to Apple, is optimistic about its year-end holiday sales. The company stated that customers in China and the United States are making strong purchases, driving the positive outlook. With the fourth quarter being a peak season for consumer tech products, Foxconn expects operations to ramp up sequentially, maintaining its previous forecast.
Hot Season for Taiwan’s Tech Companies
The fourth quarter is traditionally a hot season for Taiwan’s tech companies as they strive to meet the high demand for smartphones, tablets, and other electronics in Western markets during the year-end holiday period. Foxconn’s revenue for last month reached T$741.2 billion ($23.09 billion), the second-highest ever for October. Although it decreased by 4.56% year-on-year due to a high base, it increased by 12.2% from September.
Strong Growth in Smart Consumer Electronics
Foxconn reported significant growth in its smart consumer electronics products, including smartphones. This growth can be attributed to the launch of new products and the upcoming shopping events such as China’s Singles Day and Thanksgiving holidays in the United States. As the biggest iPhone assembler for Apple, Foxconn’s positive sales outlook aligns with Apple’s recent sales forecast for the holiday quarter.
Upcoming Earnings Report
Foxconn will release its third-quarter earnings report on November 14, providing more details on its outlook and performance. The company’s shares closed down 1.2% on Friday, but it remains optimistic about its future prospects in the market.
With its strong position as a key player in the electronics industry, Foxconn continues to adapt to the demands of the market and deliver quality products to its customers. As the holiday season approaches, the company is well-prepared to meet the growing consumer demand and achieve success in the coming months.
